January 1997 Claude Spingarm "Living in Shanghai's Jewish Ghetto during WW II" Claude Spingarm is a retired employee benefits consultant from Rochester, New York, who has been living in Tucson one and half years. Claude will speak about the Jewish Community in Shanghai, China. He survived WWII for nine years in the Shanghai ghetto while China was under Japanese occupation. Joyce and Claude Spingarm gled Germany in 1939 for Shanghai and arrived in the United States in 1947.
